The Ministry of Health on Wednesday recorded 34 new COVID-19 cases out of 262 tests, taking the country’s overall number of confirmed cases to 7, 380.
District Four recorded the majority of new cases with 21; Regions One, Five and Ten recorded one new case, Region Three recorded seven new cases and Region Seven recorded three new cases.
Thirty-three new restorations were also recorded, pushing the overall number of restorations to 6, 488. The ministry earlier announced 175 Guyanath COVID-19 death – 65 year old man from Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice).
There are 663 unaccompanied patients at home, 49 patients are institutionalized and six patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
