Police in Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice) are investigating an incident where an eight-year-old boy from South Amelia Ward, Linden was found dead outside his home on Tuesday.
According to Police, the child was at home with his parents and siblings and around 13:30h they went for a nap, leaving him in his room. However, at about 17:30h, checks were made into the child’s room by his mother, but he was not seen. Further checks were carried out in the yard and he was found near an animal pen with a shirt near his body. He was taken to Linden Hospital Center (LHC) where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The body at the hospital mortuary is currently awaiting a post-mortem examination as investigations continue. (G13)
