The cannabis leaves and stems found on the handle of the motorcycle

A resident of James Street Albouystown was arrested Sunday after several ganja were found on the handle of the motorcycle he was riding.
Police said a party of Police ranks was conducting a cordon search and search exercise on Enmore Public Road, Demerara East Coast (ECD), when they intercepted the man on a CK 7505 motorcycle.
A search of his persons as well as the motorcycle was conducted when a quantity of cannabis was found on the left handle of the said motorcycle in a black plastic bag.
He was told of the crime committed, cautioned, arrested and escorted to Cove and John Police Station where the narcotic was weighed in his presence and a total of 22 grams. The suspect remains in custody until he is charged.
A few weeks ago, two people were arrested following a police operation at several locations in Georgetown. Two men on a motorcycle were reported intercepted along Ruimveldt Public Road.
As such, the ranks searched them and found one .38 revolver shotgun with three matching rounds of ammunition in the million rider’s crock of pants. It was reported that the serial number on the shotgun had been filed.
The two were subsequently arrested and charged.
