U.S. fast bowler Muhammad Ali Khan was given 1.5 acres of land near Disney World Florida by Maq Group CEO Mahammad Qureshi for being the best of the bowlers at the 2020 U.S. Open T20 tournament at Central Broward Regional Park in Sunrise, Fort Lauderdale.
Qureshi presented the documents for the land during the mid-season break between the Atlanta Paramveers and 22 Yards.
Ali Khan is a product of the US T20 Open tournament and for some time, Qureshi has taken a keen interest in the Kolkata Knight Riders player.
Ali Khan got his big break because of Qureshi when successful businessman Boca Raton brought Dwayne Bravo in a couple seasons back to play alongside Ali for the US All Stars. It was here that Bravo saw the potential in Ali and took him to play for the Trinbago Knight Riders and the rest is history.
Ali got the award because he was the fastest and best bowler of the tournament. During the semi-finals figures of 4-25 returned, playing for the US All Stars.
Qureshi said: “Ali was the fastest and best bowler in this year’s tournament and as CEO of Maq Group I decided to reward him for his great effort. He has been with us at the US Open all these years and helped build our cricket. We are very happy to give him this award and wish him all the best in the future. “
