Since the accident, Shellean Hope said he has not received any information from the Police about the investigation into the matter. When her husband contacted the perpetrator, they were said to show no remorse or concern.
According to the victim, on Saturday around 09: 10h, she was proceeding along the Diamond Housing Plan Access Road when a speeding car from the opposite direction passed another vehicle and collided directly with her car.
Hope, in an interview with this publication, said she was still in shock and suffering from intolerable pain. “I can’t believe someone can run into your vehicle and handle it so lightly, imagine if my kids were in the car, they could have lost their lives,” the victim said.
She is currently suffering from a broken left wrist. The victim underwent surgery and is currently unable to care for herself or her children and now has to rely on her family to assist. (G15)
