Atlanta Paramveers crowned US Open T20 champions – News Room Guyana

Atlanta Paramveers became U.S. Open T20 tournament champions, beating 22 yards by 10 runs in a competitive final on Sunday at Central Broward Regional Park.

After rounding 182-6, the Atlanta Paramveers limited 22 yards to 172-7 to win the tournament, which lasted six days.

The Atlanta Paramveers were led by an attack of 70 off 50 balls by Johnson Charles and 49 off 36 by Chris Gayle, who batted for three.

The West India pair added 107 in 12.3 overs for the second wicket after losing opener Darpan Patel early for two.

Charles struck nine fours and sixes, while Gayle’s hill contained four fours and three sixes. Wayne Parnell of South Africa contributed 27 * off 12 (5x4s) towards the pub backpacks.

Bowling for 22 yards, Sherfane Rutherford rose 3-24, while Ashmead Neath, Jasdeep Singh and Christopher Barnwell each had a wicket each.

In response, Guyanese pair Trevon Griffith (42) and Barnwell (35) and opener Ahad Malek (28) got 22 yards, but were unable to overhaul the target.

Parnell finished off a nice day, claiming 2-27, while Gayle and Evroy Dyer each had a wicket.
