Rates from the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) on Wednesday unveiled broken cocaine in a box at Eugene F Correia International Airport, Ogle, Demerara East Coast (ECD), which was due to Brooklyn, New York , United States. 
According to CANU, a 30-year-old woman from North Road, Bourda, Georgetown, posted the box with 534 grams of cocaine stashed at the bottom of the cartoon. Reports are that a CANU officer checked the box before it was loaded on a flight destined for New York and found two parcels wrapped in carbon and hidden in a fake wall to the bottom. At the top of the box, CANU said, there was a lot of coconut, mitty biscuit, chicken foot, and one pack of uncooked vermicelli. Several people have since been questioned in relation to the matter, and the woman who posted the box has been remanded in custody.
