Family desperately searching for missing man over a month – News Room Guyana

Forty-two-year-old Answar Stoll from Kuru Kuru on the Soesdyke Linden Highway has been missing since Nov. 15, 2020 and with the holidays approaching, his family is desperately seeking answers.

His brother, Harvey Stoll told the Newsroom that the house in Kuru Kuru was found robbed with what appear to be blood stains on the floor and walls.

According to Harvey, his brother was last seen on WhatsApp on November 15 and it was also the last time he had been heard by him. The official report of a missing person was filed on December 16.

“His mum called me and told me she hadn’t heard from him in over three weeks and she wanted to know what was going on.

“She called my cousin too, and went up there on Tuesday and the place looked like it was locked, but one of the windows was open and when I went in, the whole place was reconsider. A lot of things looked like blood on the wall and floor and all of his personal belongings except his glasses were missing, ”explained Harvey.

Harvey said the lights, food and solar battery were also missing from the house.

“There was nowhere to be seen or heard by him and when you tried to call him, his phone went straight to an answering machine,” said Harvey.

Divisional Superintendent, Senior Superintendent Linden Isles told the Newsroom that all police stations across the country were alert and that an investigation was underway.

Answar lived alone about nine miles from the highway and did not work. He has been living in the area for the past 20 years. Harvey explained that his brother is supported by his mother and sister who both live abroad.

Meanwhile, Harvey claims police refuse to take samples of what appears to be blood inside the house.

“That’s what they told us, they looked at it and didn’t test it and told us it looked like Chinese sauce and red sauce. Police told us we have to bear the cost because they can’t investigate anything unless they find a body, unless they treat it as missing, “Harvey said.

THREATENED

According to Harvey, his brother had a young man who stayed with him from time to time. When asked to move out, Harvey claimed the young man had threatened to kill his brother.

“The police there have several reports about the boy and all of a sudden that boy is not there,” Harvey noted.
