Police are investigating a robbery armed with violence that occurred Sunday night at Mon Repos School Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD), on a group of men who were having a few drinks.
Police said Rameez Mohamed and Ryan Singh were bubbling with some friends when one of three men approached them and shouted “watch them man”.
Apparently the crowd dispersed and started running in different directions. Mohamed, on the other hand, fell by the wayside as he ran. At that time, he was confronted by two other men who released a Samsung A71 phone, a Samsung J8, one gold ring, one gold chain and $ 175,000 in cash.
During the suffering, Singh suffered a single gunshot wound to his head, causing him to lose consciousness. The bandits then took one Samsung S21 phone and $ 25,000 cash.
The suspects then managed to escape on separate bikes heading west into a nearby street. A report has been made and since then ranks have collected statements. Investigations are underway.
