Health Minister refutes allegations of violation of COVID-19 guidelines in Parliament

Statement by the Ministry of Health

Health Minister Hons. Dr. Frank Anthony refuted allegations that appeared in some sections of the Opposition-controlled media of violating the COVID-19 protocol on January 28 in the Senate.

According to the Minister, he never refused to be sanitized before entering Parliament Chambers.

“This morning when I came, I took my temperature from a nurse and then I went through the sanitary station,” said the Minister.

“Media entities and citizens are generally advised to refrain from issuing unverified and misleading statements and refrain from spreading rumors,” he further said.

As the country continues to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Health (MOH) urges everyone to wash or chant their hands frequently, wear a mask correctly and consistently, and maintain a distance of at least six feet from others when in public.
