Hopefully brothers lose Super50 after positive tests COVID-19 – Guyana News Room

Brothers Hope- Kyle and Shai- have both tested positive for the coronavirus and will miss the upcoming Super50, the Barbados Cricket Association said in a press release on Tuesday.

Both were named in the 15-man Barbados Pride squad.

“Following the results of the first completed COVD-19 tests, Kyle and Shai Hope returned positive results and are administered separately according to the Barbados Government protocols. World class batsman Zachary McCaskie and wicketkeeper batsman Tevyn Walcott have been named to replace the Hope brothers and are both due to receive the required tests and protocols immediately, ”Said Barbados Cricket Association.

The Barbados Pride squad will depart for Antigua on January 31.

The squad reads: Jason Holder (Captain), Joshua Bishop, Shamarh Brooks, Jonathan Carter, Roston Chase, Dominic Drakes, Jonathan Drakes, Justin Greaves, Keon Harding, Chemar Holder, Akeem Jordan, Nicholas Kirton, Zachary McCaskie, Ashley Nurse and Tevyn Walcott.
