Man gets 36 months imprisonment for illegal firearm and ‘ammo’

A man, who confessed to possessing an illegal gun and matching ammunition, was fined $ 100, 000, and sentenced to 36 months in prison by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan. Jonathan McKenzie pleaded guilty to the two firearms charges during his appearance at Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

The charges, on Jan. 10, at Lot 69 Cross and Durban Streets, Werk-en – Rust, Georgetown, indicated that McKenzie had one .32 Taurus pistol and four .32 rounds of ammunition when he was not a firearm license holder on the when.

According to the facts, on the day in question, police found McKenzie in possession of a gun. In response, ranks visited the location mentioned in the charge. Shortly after arriving, he saw McKenzie’s ranks, which were in the front of the building, holding his right side pants center.
