An accident on the Yarrowkabra Public Road, Soesdkye / Linden Highway on Friday night resulted in the death of 36-year-old Dayle Jordan of La Retraite, Demerara West Bank and the hospital of her 29-year-old female friend, also of La Retraite.
Police Headquarters stated in a statement that the accident occurred at approximately 23:30h; Jordan is allegedly riding a motorcycle with the woman as the millionaire when he overturned a car and crashed into an injection.
The pickup was driven by a 51-year-old resident of Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice, who was heading north along the west side of the road.
Jordan and his friend were rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The woman was admitted as a patient.
Police said the driver of the pickup was found to exceed the legal limit of alcohol by .77% and .70% micrograms. He is in custody assisting with the investigation.
