New requirements for travel to Suriname including quarantine

The Ministry of Health today announced new requirements for travel to Suriname.

To be allowed to board the Ferry at Moleson Creek, Corentyne to South Drain, Suriname, he said all passengers are required to show a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction Test (PCR) result taken within 72 hours of their departure time to Suriname.

From April 10, 2021, everyone traveling to Suriname will be required to quarantine for seven days at a government-approved quarantine hotel or guesthouse.

At this time, passengers are not exempt from quarantine, even if he / she has:

– testing negative for COVID-19

– retrieved from COVID-19

– been vaccinated for COVID-19.
