… (Trump) black pot
Some people are not really ashamed. And in Guyana right now, the entire lotta of those people in the PNC leadership following the rebellious attack on their Capitol Hill, home of their House of Representatives and the Senate, can be found by right-wing extremists following Donald Trump. These yahoos, of course, followed Trump’s line that he was “cheated, not defeated” in their November elections.
Now, dear readers, does this remind anyone of anything that happened to us here in our beloved old heartland? Not just right now, but ever since 1992! In case you forgot – or are more likely to be oppressed, because it is so ugly – refer to your Eyewitness piece from yesterday. Well, some PNC leaders gave up their grip on the American uprising where five people have died.
Joe Harmon, “Leader of the Opposition” – receives that title and, more to the point, its benefits, but not the PPP Government! – declared uncommonly: “APNU + AFC believes that the United States of America must act in a manner consistent with the global leadership role it has exercised in recent decades, and she did it quickly. ”
Well, how did the United States act most recently with what went down here after our elections on March 2, to demonstrate its “global leadership role” in terms of democracy? After all, the US had explicitly stated that promoting democracy was one of its specific foreign policy goals. It served its interests, because democratic countries are less inclined to act unreasonably in the global arena as democracy demands consideration before action. So, what Harmon should have also said was that the United States acted in its best traditions when it refused to bind Granger to power when he was clearly defeated in the elections. That Trump was the head of the US state when that happened and later tried to overturn the rule in his country which does not invigorate the rule !!
Then came Ramjattan, who had saved democracy here by expelling several Russian spies. He clearly blamed Trump for his emancipation of power. “This is quieter behavior by the American President, and not just those young people who entered the Capitol Building. According to the President and the Constitution, if you act out of mischief and you misbehave about what they call misconduct and a felony on the job, once you get away in twelve days, fourteen days from now, they should hold it, line it up and put it in what you call an orange jacket. ”
So the question for Ramjattan is: What should be done to Granger and Harmon about encouraging people in W. Berbice to riot against “Guyanese” who are thought to be PPP / C supporters following the murder of Henry’s cousins?
Orange jumpsuit anyone?

… His acolytes
Your Eyewitness has been looking for a silver lining after the black cloud of the PNC watchdog’s action to cling to power in a hook or stick – mostly the latter! He found one ripping a mask of hypocrisy from a large number of people who were “PNC to the bone”, but who tried to pass as neutral. One of those is Lincoln Lewis, the longtime head of the TUC, an umbrella trade union body that is supposed to represent all workers based on ILO principles.
Lewis has allowed his racial affinity to overwhelm all notions of fairness and justice. Now, there’s nothing wrong with being proud of your ethnic or racial group. But what is wrong is that Lewis – who identifies himself as “African” – not only refuses to recognize PPP trans-ethnic initiatives in our multi-religious / multi-ethnic country, but assumes that Sam “African” Hinds are “racist” for not doing so.
So what would Lewis say about PPP Hinds keeping the $ 2 billion annual Sugar Levy while maintaining the $ 2 billion electricity subsidy for Linden?

… For partitions
Your Eyewitness is not surprised that the PNC humiliates the PPP’s extraordinary treatment of the Public Servants with the bonus awarded.
But to do so by comparing it with attempts to resuscitate the sugar industry is contemptible.
