A policeman was shot and injured early Sunday morning by one of his colleagues during an argument over a pair of slippers, police said.
Guyana Police said the incident happened around 5 AM.
Initial reports are that the rank, Constable 23337 Lampkin was shot by Constable 24885 Corbin following an argument over a pair of lost slippers.
Constable Lampkin is currently undergoing treatment at Georgetown Public Hospital, while his custody colleague is assisting with the investigation, police said.
