Local sports shooters will have the opportunity to take part in a game sponsored annually by P&P Insurance Brokers and Consultants Limited. For the sixth year running, this match marks the start of the year’s shooting calendar for games hosted by the Guyana Institute of Sport Shooting (GSSF).
Chairman of the Steel Challenge and Director of the Guyana Sports Shooting Institute, Mr. Dallas Thomas, has indicated that shooters would compete under three divisions: Production, Limited, and Wildcat. The game will consist of two stages, with each stage being shot five times. Times are recorded and the worst one is thrown, leaving the shooter with four hits recorded, the total of which is their score for the stage.

At the end of the match, scores are high and prizes are awarded to the top three performers in each division.
According to the Chairman, Mr Thomas, “GSSF is excited to host our first game in over a year, hence the name of the event, the ‘Rust Off’ game. We look forward to a safe and fun event that will include COVID-19 prevention measures. ”
