RHTY & SC kicks off the 2021 Program with a gift to RHT Primary There are approximately 715 activities planned

Kaieteur News – Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY & SC) on Tuesday launched its 2021 Program of activities with a donation to Rose Hall Town Primary School. The club and its ten cricket teams have set themselves a target of 715 activities this year after delivering for 2020.
The ten teams donated $ 75,000 worth of items to the School’s Headteacher, Ms Hollis Schwiers during a simple ceremony on Club ‘H’ Land. The donation included a high-pressure water pump, water kettle, football, lawn tennis racket, face shields, face cleaners and masks, a large pencil sharpener, and a quantity of stationery. Stationery included paper files, pens, pencils, markers, sharpeners, erasers amongst others.
The school’s Headteacher, Ms Hollis Schwiers, expressed their gratitude to the club. He said the RHTY & SC has always been very supportive of their school and wishes the teams the very best for a successful 2021.
Today, the teams would donate to Outpost Rose Hall Town of Guyana Police. Meanwhile, Club Secretary / CEO Hilbert Foster noted that the activities planned for the year would be carried out under a wide range of sub-headings including sport, education, charity, community development, youth development, training, religion, anti-crime, anti-drugs, anti-suicide and personal development amongst others.
He said special emphasis would be placed on the development of the club’s cricket teams to recruit new members and expose them to various training programs, expand the essential Say No / Say Yes Campaign and upgrade the ‘H’ Area further.
Foster also noted that Rose Hall Town Primary School and the Club enjoy a very warm relationship.
The school produces many cricketers for the club while it also hosts the annual Christmas Village organized by the ten cricket teams, annually.
The ten teams from RHTY & SC are Poonai Pharmacy Under-12 and 13, Farfan and Mendes Under-15, Bakewell Under-17 and Second Division, Pepsi Under-19 and Intermediate, Metro Female, Namilco Thunderbolt Flour Under-21 and First Division
