WeCare Shiv Gajraj / S&K Construction Computers West Dem Softball Cricket Cup Reorganized
Kaieteur News-The first West Demerara Softball Cricket Cup will now be played on April 18 at Zeeburg Sports Club Field due to the heavy rainfall that caused the ground to flood.
According to the organizers, all set for the one-day competition was limited over yesterday’s softball competition, but due to overnight rain and continued rainfall on Sunday the competition had to be rescheduled.
The limited overs competition will be played under Strict COVID guidelines and regulations on the new date and a limited number of teams will be accepted. The organizers also stress that spectators will not be allowed into the venue on the day of the competition.
The organizers have apologized for the inconvenience that the postponement may have caused and look forward to the cooperation of the teams and sponsors.
