A fisherman broke out following a row over money

Kaieteur News – A 27-year-old fisherman is currently a patient at Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) suffering from several fracture wounds after being broken by two brothers whose boat was damaged because he did not get the money he wanted borrow it.
The injured man has been identified as Christopher Bridgemohan of Kumaka Waterfront, Northwest Region.
The incident that landed the man in hospital happened Monday afternoon in the Kumaka community. Kaieteur News learned that two brothers, a 34-year-old and a 40-year-old man, who owns a fishing boat, hired a fisherman and hired two Venezuelan men to work with them.
According to police reports on the day of the incident, Bridgemohan left his residence and went to Cat Walk, Kumaka to meet with two Venezuelan citizens to borrow some money from them. Upon his arrival, the men told him that their boss (the suspect) was not paying them yet. Upon hearing that, the 27-year-old player became annoyed and armed himself with heartbreak then began to tie the boat. Shortly after he left, the boat owners were notified of the situation and immediately left to confront the man. Apparently the two men appeared at Bridgemohan’s house armed with cuttings. There, a fierce debate erupted, which later turned violent. A Bridgemohan neighbor, who was at home at the time, told investigators he went to the fisherman’s house after hearing the noise, and found him in a pool of blood. Immediately, an alarm was raised with individuals in the area, who assisted and took the 27-year-old to Mabaruma Regional Hospital. There, he was examined and treated by a doctor but later had to be referred to the GPHC for further medical attention. At the GPHC, he was admitted in a serious but stable condition.
Kaieteur News understands that one of the brothers was later stabbed by police and was in custody, while a manhunt has been launched for the suspect.
