Former West Indies captain Sir Clive Lloyd has congratulated President Bissoondyal Singh, recently elected by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) on his ascension to the top post.
This was revealed in an official statement for the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup (ICC) winning captain of the 1975 and 1979. According to Lloyd, “Congratulations to president Bissoondyal [Singh] and his team members on winning the elections for the Guyana Cricket Board. I wish the board a very successful future. This victory must lead to a sense of renewal. I know most of the elected board members and I’m sure they understand that better control of cricket in Guyana is a national expectation. Furthermore, the opportunity presents itself to the new board to create the conditions for Guyana to become, as it once was, one of the premier nurseries for West Indies cricket. ”
