GFF national embarrassment – Stabroek News

Ayn Rand, a Russian-American writer and philosopher, once said, “Rationalization is a process not of discerning reality, but of trying to make reality fit into one’s emotions. This basically sums up this skill of making excuses. The word ’emotions’ simply replaces ‘narrative’, which conveys a proposed or fixed position.

Certainly this can be localized. The recognition of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), of the issues currently plaguing the Lady Jaguars program, fits this narrative perfectly.

The Lady Jaguars, Guyana’s national senior women’s team, on Wednesday, April 7th, sent a letter to the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Charles Ramson Jr., highlighting the unequal allocation of resources by the local governing entity to the program. This includes non-payment of match fees for international matches.
