Cash prizes at stake for tomorrow’s 60-mile bike road race

Cyclists will be back in action tomorrow for only the third time this quiet season, battling for spoils on the open roads.

The COVID-19 Task Force recently gave the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF) the green light to stage an event within the confines of the pandemic guidelines.

Tomorrow’s 60-mile race will start at Carifesta Avenue. The peloton will advance to Half Way Tree before returning to the place of origin for the finish.

The start time for this event will start at 07:00 hours and the GCF encourages all competitors to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines.

Registration for the game starts one hour before the start of the race at the start line and all riders should wear their mask and check their temperature when registering.

Marcus Keiler won the season opener while Britton John singled to victory in the open races staged so far this season. Other riders along with the duo will be sewing for victory tomorrow.
