On Monday an 18-year-old was discharged from his mobile phone by two armed men at Fox Hill Foot, Half Mile Wismar, Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice). A friend of the victim was also injured during the suffering.
According to information received, a Wismar Valley teenager, Linden, was sitting on the corner of Fox Hill Foot with her friend when the two gunmen approached and instructed them to remain silent.
It was reported that the young man had a release from his ZTE Android mobile phone. Seeing this, the young man’s friend threw his phone into a nearby yard.
As a result, one of the armed men dealt several lashes with the gun to his back, resulting in injuries. The thieves repaired an escape on foot, and the matter was subsequently reported to the Police.
