33 new COVID-19 cases – Guyana Newsroom

The Ministry of Health on Thursday reported no new COVID-19-related deaths, however, a total of 33 new cases were recorded from 327 tests conducted nationwide.

This takes the overall number of confirmed cases to 6, 469 with 5,990 recoveries.

Regions One, Two and Six recorded three new cases each, while Regions Three, Five and Seven recorded one new case each.

Region Four recorded the next highest total for new cases compared to the other regions with 12 new cases, followed closely by Region Eight with nine new cases.

Regions Nine and Ten did not report any new cases.

There are 287 unaccompanied patients at home, 20 in institutional isolation and five patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.

To date 167 people have died from the virus in Guyana. This means there are 712 active cases nationwide.
