Abieke Purpleheart Solutions – Stabroek News

Berbician, Abieke Hamilton is a mother, and as she puts it, a woman who over time has worn “lots of hats” and tried various activities. She remembers taking a sixteen year old hair dressing course as a Christmas present. “That sparked my interest in hair care. Later I had a massage therapy program and it was here that I learned about the body and its sensitivity to touch. I learned how to apply massage therapy and how massage can be useful in treating stroke to aid blood circulation, among other things. I also learned the benefit of essential oils and how these are incorporated into marketable products. “

Abieke’s health-conscious attitude, she says, is a family trait. “My family has been vegetarians for most of our lives. Healthy eating, using superfoods, fruits and vegetables, have been a part of our lives. We try as far as possible to grow what we eat and control what’s in our vegetables. ”

Purpleheart Organics, Abieke’s line of health and beauty products, she says, stems from her love of ‘mother earth.’ It grew out of a personal challenge. In 2018, her newborn son had developed eczema on upper body parts. “As a country girl I started looking for a natural (non-chemical) remedy that could help. That’s when I discovered Sleep Andiroba (crab oil). ”It took two days for the results to emerge. After that, he became a firm believer in crab oil. He drew a line under the use of over the counter medicines and began to explore “organic, alternative options.”
