Caught bandits sharing loot under camera

The two raiders shared the spoils.

Kaieteur News – After two robbers carried out a robbery over the weekend, CCTV cameras in the Stabroek Market area, caught them sharing the stolen robbery.
Although there has been no official police report of the incident as the matter has not been reported, the photographs seen in this publication show that the suspects were seen walking for some time before they stopped under a building in order to reach a light source.
The men then placed the stolen laptop bag on the ground and removed the contents. However, the thieves were unaware that the area where they stopped to check their stolen spirit was secured with surveillance cameras. Kaieteur News was told men had stolen that bag from an individual crossing the Stabroek Market area.
One of the suspects was covered in a blue t-shirt, blue hat and distressed denim jeans, while the other was wearing a white t-shirt and short denim jeans.
The video shows one of the robbers emptying the bag while the other tries on what appears to be a stolen ring. After removing the valuables, his partner placed the documents back in the bag before placing them behind a nearby cooling machine.
The unconscious duo completed splitting the cash before compensating for an escape.
Kaieteur News understands that one of the thieves is a known character who goes by the name, “Oza”. Last night, police were contacted, who revealed that no investigation has yet been launched as the matter has not been officially reported.
However, cops will look for the perpetrators caught on camera.
