Biker dead, another judge in New Amsterdam accident – News Room Guyana

In a Sunday night crash in New Amsterdam township, Berbice has left one motorcyclist dead and another in critical condition.

Police said the fatal crash happened around 18:00 h on Republic Road and Pitt Street, New Amsterdam involving a motor car and two motorcycles.

Deceased is Jamal Joseph, 27, of Tucber Park, New Amsterdam Berbice while Keil Noble, 39, of Stanleytown, New Amsterdam remains in critical condition at New Amsterdam Hospital. He is reported to have suffered serious head injuries.

The car was driven by a 22-year-old woman from Cumberland, East Canje Berbice while a motorcycle, CK 2765 was driven by a Noble with a million rider (both wearing helmets).

Police said a motorcycle, a CK 1731 was driven by Joseph, who was not wearing a helmet.

According to reports, the car was heading north along Republic Road when it was alleged that the female driver tried to overtake Joseph and he stopped in the Noble path.

This forced Noble to deviate leading to a collision with both motorcyclists. Noble lost control and collided into the front part of the car. Noble and the millionaire rider fell to the ground and sustained injuries.

They were raised in an unconscious state by citizens of public spirit and transported to the Public Hospital of New Amsterdam where they were seen and examined by doctors on duty.

Joseph succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment. Noble was admitted as a patient in the accident and emergency unit.
