Caribbean Export is launching training to boost the international competitiveness of services

As part of Caribbean countries’ ongoing efforts to develop initiatives to respond to the multilateral development challenges, exacerbated in just over the past year by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Caribbean Export Development Agency has revealed that it is partnering with the service industry sectors in five Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries to conduct a series of training programs. Under the umbrella of “Services Go Global,” the initiative is designed to improve the export readiness of small and medium-sized business (SME) services in an effort to move the region to a position of COVID-19 export readiness in the earliest possible time.

The initiative will see Carib Export partnering with the Services Coalition organizations from Belize, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Louis. Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago, and will launch training programs during this month, which will run over a three-month period.
