Chief Returning Officer Keith Lowenfield on Wednesday handed over the Voting and Recount Statements to the Registrar of the High Court.
Mr. Lowenfield that the documents be transmitted in accordance with a High Court order.
This is in line with an order from Chief Justice Roxane George-Wiltshire that this should be done for safekeeping. Opposition The Partnership for National Unity + Alliance for Change (APNU + AFC) has an upcoming election to challenge the March 2, 2020 general and regional election results.
She followed her order for the key documents to be presented to the Registrar of the High Court for safe custody following solicitors’ requests for the Guyana Progressive People’s Party and Change – Senior Counsel Douglas Mendes and Kashir Khan.
