CPCE online training to start soon

Yesterday Education Minister Priya Manickchand visited Cyril Potter College of Education (CPCE) where she met the institution’s Principal and Administrative staff.

The Education Minister discussed several issues with the group including the commencement of his online training which will begin shortly.

Understanding the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the delivery of face-to-face engagement education, Minister Manickchand had asked CPCE to begin offering its programs online.

This will address the need for teachers to continue their training while away from the College and its centers and will benefit those individuals who live far from College locations .

This will also remove the restrictions placed on registration as training takes place beyond the physical classroom. Therefore, more students may be admitted to embark on their studies as a physical population will no longer be restricted by physical space.

Various software and programs have been purchased to make this a reality.

With this new approach, the number of people applying and being admitted to the SNPA has increased fourfold. The Education Minister said she was looking forward to launching SNPA going online soon.
