Two men are now nursing physical injuries at Georgetown Public Hospital following a two-vehicle collision along Montrose Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD), on Sunday. The injured men are Kellon Albert, 37, of Lamaha Street, Georgetown, and 42-year-old Rajah Chato of Dhanraj Street, Kitty, Georgetown.
The accident reportedly happened around 06: 15h and involved a motor car with registration number PWW 7239 driven by Albert and a PRR 9123 motor car driven by Chato.
Based on information received, the PWW 7239 motor car was proceeding along the Montrose Public Road at a very fast speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the vehicle crossing over the median and colliding with ‘ r the other motor car.
Due to the impact of the collision, both drivers sustained injuries to their bodies. They were taken from the wreck by public-spirited citizens and transported to Georgetown Public Hospital where they were admitted.
Their condition is considered serious but stable. An investigation has been launched into the accident.
