With the aim of resume training for FIFA 2022 World Cup Qualifiers, the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), the local governing body, began testing COVID-19 yesterday for several members of the training roster at the National Training Center of the entity, Providence.
This was revealed by a source close to the federation, who spoke on condition of anonymity. According to the source, the testing phase involving members of the play and management teams, was conducted by officials from the Ministry of Health.
The source explained, “The players’ tests were held at the training center in Providence, the players had to meet there at 11:00 am. All local players were due to be tested today, those who were part of the team for the games in the Dominican Republic and those in the coaching squad. Some members of the management team were also tested today. ”
