Giftland donates $ 2.4M in goggles to CDC

Kaieteur News – Giftland Group of Companies has donated 24,000 goggles worth $ 2,400,000 to the Civil Defense Commission (CDC). In a statement he said the donation was intended to support recovery efforts from the recent volcanic eruption in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This donation, the statement noted, “will help the people in the affected area because exposure to ash is very harmful.”
Citing the damage done by the volcanic eruption “as vital as ever,” Giftland stated in his release that “the work is to restore what was lost, preventing even further damage and giving to the people of St Vincent. and an opportunity for the Grenadines to thrive again, has just begun. ”
The company is hopeful that other entities will replicate its efforts: “We call on businesses or individuals to assist in any way possible for the Civil Defense Commission (CDC) by providing resources to serve the affected communities by the disaster. Restoration and restoration efforts will be paramount especially in these unprecedented times. “
