Guyana records the death of 170th COVID-19 – Guyana Newsroom

The Health Ministry reported Monday that another person who tested positive for COVID-19 died Sunday. The most recent death is a 65-year-old man from Region Four who died while receiving medical care at a facility. This brings the total number of deaths to 170 and to date six COVID-19 deaths have been recorded for the year.

At the weekend two additional deaths were also recorded; the patients were a 39-year-old man from one of the stalwarts of 59-year-old Region Seven and the People’s Party / Civic Progressive Party (PPP / C), Majeed Hussain, who died Saturday morning of COVID-19 complications.

All Guyanese are reminded to adhere to the COVID-19 EMERGENCY MEASURES protocols (NO.12), which are in force until January 31, 2021.
