News when the drains and ditches were overflowing, they were affected by flooding.

In the main commercial zone of Charity, many businesses were also affected by flood waters, and forced to close. Kaieteur News also understands that the ability of water to retreat from the zone has been significantly reduced due to garbage being built in the drainage ditches in the marketing area.
During the latter part of 2020, several attempts were made to disillusion the drainage network in Charity.
