Made by Americans but not for all Americans
DEAR EDITOR,
The impeachment of a sitting president is politically equivalent to a criminal indictment. The constitutional mechanism for the impeachment of federal officials, including presidents, vice presidents and federal judges, is set out in Article 2, Section 4 of the US Constitution, which states that “the President and all civil officials of the United States. removed from office on impeachment for, and convicted of treason, bribery, or other high crime and misconduct. ”President Donald Trump has been impeached not once, but twice by the House of Representatives during his term as President of the United States.
It first appeared in December 2019 on charges of abusing his office and obstructing Congress before being acquitted at a Senate trial in February 2020. At the center of the first impeachment investigation are Trump’s attempts to seek Ukraine’s intervention in the 2020 election while holding back almost any intervention A $ 400 million military aid package for the country, which is fighting against Russia. Trump also refused to allow a meeting in the White House for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The catalyst of the investigation was a whistleblower complaint detailing a phone call on July 25th when Trump repeatedly pressured Zelensky to investigate Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who served on the board of Burisma Holdings , a Ukrainian oil and gas company. The second time was last Wednesday, when the House passed an article denouncing Trump for instigating a January 6th rebellion on the US Capitol as Congress counted a slate of electoral votes cast by the provinces. A host of pro-Trump terrorists descended on the US Capitol that day, forcing Congress to enter the recess and members evacuate and hide for their safety. Five people died during the day’s violence, including a US capitol policeman who was beaten to death by a firefighter. To date, over a hundred arrests have been made, including prominent citizens, many were fired from their posts for taking part in what is now called “domestic terrorism,” others have resigned and many have gone into hiding. The anarchists were influenced and manipulated by Trump’s persuasion.
Trump has lost all his election petitions in the courts, including the Supreme Court where he appointed Judges. There is no evidence of widespread fraud or irregularity in the 2020 election, but Trump has repeatedly spread unfounded conspiracy theory since he lost in November. His last Attorney General, William Barr, who resigned, testified to this effect after being asked to conduct investigations as well. About a week before the Capitol Hill attack, in a lengthy phone call, Trump had pressed Georgia Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to come up with some 12,000 votes to reverse his loss in the state. President Trump agreed to a video criticizing Capitol terrorists only after he realized he could face legal consequences. In a video the following Thursday, he said he was, “aggrieved by the violence,” and promised a smooth transition to the Biden administration, but did not give up. He is isolated and has built a wall around himself, all alone, engrossed in self-pity and pandering, in the White House. A journey of fate and fate for a man who was once king of the world, leader of the most powerful nation on earth and head of the richest country. The whole world looks up to America for priority, leadership and leadership. What ended up with Americans is a President leaving the White House in shame and disgrace and one who may be facing criminal charges. At the time of writing this report, 98 payments have been initiated and the number is increasing exponentially, expecting to exceed 300. He has consistently refused to declare his income tax and New York city is still completing its tax investigation . There is also a bounty on the head of the Iranians.
It is sad to note the generally shared language and the derogatory words used to describe a degraded, embarrassingly rotten man: bigot, racist, dishonest, clown, abominable, narcissist, bully, silly, and .., egotistical , ignorant, unconditional, lying, incompetent and idiot. After all, he comes with a history of six bankruptcies from his businesses and barely paid any taxes. Was Trump’s power drunk, too real, too ambitious, intellectually bankrupt, arrogantly insane, ill-advised, too proud, misled irresponsibly or simply reckless and heartless ? Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries described Trump as “too dangerous to stay in office,” and former acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, who made a sweeping and hasty exit, called out courage to declare that. skilled. “I don’t know what’s going on inside the president’s head.” Were all psychologists asleep or were they too scared to announce or deny what had been so obvious from the outset?
Respectfully,
Jai Lall
