Man accused of breaking a brother in the head

On Tuesday, a MAN, who allegedly cut his brother in the head during a debate over a purse, was placed on $ 20,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan when he made an appearance at Georgetown Magistrates’ Court. Delmar Booker of Jackson Dam, La Penitence, pleaded not guilty to the wounding charge when it was read to him. He is alleged, on January 21, in Jackson Dam, La Penitence, Georgetown, illegally and maliciously injuring Isaiah Booker. The brothers share the same building but live in separate apartments. According to the case before the court, on the day in question, a misunderstanding emerged between the two regarding a purse given to Isaiah Booker. Delmar Booker grabbed the purse back and in a rage, broke down his brother’s apartment door while he was inside. Delmar entered Isaiah’s apartment and a scuffle ensued between the two. With heartbreak, Delmar dealt Isaiah’s cut to his head. The matter was reported and Delmar was arrested and charged for the crime committed. The matter was adjourned until March 5, 2020.
