Man beaten, stole from XR motorcycle at Eccles traffic lights – News Room Guyana

Police are pursuing two motorcycle robbers who robbed a man of his $ 460,000 XR motorcycle on Tuesday at the traffic light in Eccles, Demerara East Bank.

Police Headquarters stated in a statement that Romain Legay was heading south along the Eccles public road when he stopped at Eccles traffic lights, when he was approached by two men on a black and red XR motorcycle.

The millionaire cyclist is alleged to have fallen and started assaulting the victim, which led to a scuffle, when the bandit used a black handgun to beat the suspect to his face and released him from the motorcycle.

The suspects then managed to escape in the northerly direction of the East Bank public road.

The victim was taken to East Ruimveldt Police Station and then escorted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for medical attention.

Investigations are ongoing.
