Bam Adebayo had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Duncan Robinson broke in 11 points with 10 rebounds for the Heat, who have won six of nine.
Kyle Kuzma had 23 points and LeBron James (7-for-21 from the field) added 19 points, nine rebounds and nine assists for the Lakers, who have dropped three of their last four contests.
Lakers guard Dennis Schroder missed his second straight game because of the NBA’s health and safety protocols, while All-Star frontman Anthony Davis sat out his fourth consecutive game as he stayed out with a right Achilles tendon injury.
Charlotte Hornets 102 – Golden State Warriors 100
Terry Rozier hit a jumper beat jumper from the left corner to cap a wild finish as host Charlotte overturned Golden State’s Stephen Curry-less.
Curry was escorted back to the locker room just before the opening tip. The Warriors reported a few minutes later that the league’s top scorer was not feeling well.
Despite Curry’s last-minute scramble, he led the Warriors 100-98 and took possession of the ball after Draymond Green fired an offensive rebound with 15.7 seconds left. But Green got two technical fouls and was thrown out of the game, leading to Rozier’s free throw tie and subsequent game winner.
Washington Wizards 118 – Portland Trail Blazers 111
Bradley Beal recorded 37 points and seven rebounds to lead Washington past Portland to extend its season-best winning streak to four games.
Russell Westbrook recorded 27 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds for his eighth double-triple of the season. Rui Hachimura had 17 points, seven rebounds and three steals and Robin Lopez contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Wizards.
Damian Lillard scored 29 of his 35 points in the second half and had 12 assists for Portland, which saw its six-game winning streak of the season suspended. Enes Kanter registered 19 points and 13 rebounds, Gary Trent Jr. scored 16, and Robert Covington added 11 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots for the Trail Blazers.
Chicago Bulls 122 – Sacramento Kings 114
Zach LaVine scored 38 points and Coby White chipped in 19 to pace six players in double figures as Chicago sent Sacramento to its sixth straight loss.
Chicago won for the third time in four games as LaVine shined again, surpassing the 30-point plateau for the seventh time in eight games and the 15th time this season. LaVine shot 15-for-20 from the floor to give the Bulls a 59.8 percent effort from the field.
Marvin Bagley III had a double-double game of 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Kings in the first game of a five-game road trip. Buddy Hield followed with 23 points, while De’Aaron Fox added 20 points and nine assists.
Phoenix Suns 128 – Memphis Grizzlies 97
Devin Booker scored a game-high 23 points, Mikal Bridges was one of three Phoenix players to finish with 19 points and the visitors trailed Memphis on its feet.
Despite not scoring for a 3:43 first game, Phoenix took the lead by 13 points at the end of the first quarter. Memphis provided very little resistance from then on.
The Suns raced out to a 31-point lead at halftime, holding the Grizzlies to less than 20 points in each of the first two quarters. The Phoenix lead shot up by 36 points in the second half as the Suns took advantage of a dismal 3-point shooting night by the Grizzlies.
