P&P Insurance Brokers to open GSSF 2021 calendar with ‘rust off’ game

Kaieteur News – Local sports shooters will have the opportunity to take part in a game sponsored annually by P&P Insurance Brokers and Consultants Limited. For the sixth year running, this match marks the start of the year’s shooting calendar for games hosted by the Guyana Institute of Sport Shooting (GSSF).
Steel Challenge Chairman and Director of the Guyana Sports Shooting Institute, Mr Dallas Thomas noted that shooters will compete under three divisions; Production, Limited and Wildcat. The game will consist of two stages, with each stage being shot five times. Times are recorded and the worst one is thrown, leaving the shooter with four hits recorded, the total of which is their score for the stage.
At the end of the match, scores are high and prizes are awarded to the top three performers in each division.
Chairman Mr Thomas said, “GSSF is excited to host our first game in over a year. Hence the name of the game ‘Rust Off’. We look forward to a safe and fun event that will include Covid-19 prevention measures. ”

At the Ceremony at the P&P Insurance Brokers and Consultants Ltd office at Lots 272-273 Lamaha Street, North Cummingsburg, Georgetown, Treasurer and Institute Director, Mr Ray Beharry, met with representatives of P&P Insurance Brokers and Consultants Limited for the transfer. from sponsorship funds and on receiving the kind sponsorship, it was conveyed thanks to P&P Executive Director, Mr Vikash Panday. The Foundation once again expressed its gratitude to the CEO, Mr Bishwa Panday and P&P Insurance, who became hesitant to support the sport shooting fraternity for its sixth year.
