An 82-year-old retired Anglican Priest was found with multiple stab wounds at his Vlissengen Road home, Lodge, Georgetown on Monday afternoon.
George Chuck-A-Sang is dead. Police Headquarters revealed in a statement that Chuck-A-Sang was killed sometime between 08:00 hrs last Friday and 15: 00h on Monday.
The body was discovered by his daughter, Renata and current Priest Monsell Alves. The man was living alone in a two-storey house.
According to the girl she last spoke with her father on Friday and called her again on Monday. After he didn’t answer his phone, he visited Priest Alves’ house to look for him. Police said the girl and Priest Alves visited Chuck-A-Sang’s house and found him lying dumb in his underwear.
Police said the body was found with about seven stab wounds and that his forehead was swollen.
The body was escorted to Georgetown public hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Investigations are ongoing.
