Teenage singer Brianna Askie is one to watch

At 13, Brianna Askie is already a recording artiste with two albums, which are yet to be released and which should be out by this summer. His latest single, “All Hope Isn’t Lost”, is one he hopes will inspire those who may be feeling hopeless because of the impact of the pandemic.

Born of a Guyanese mother in the United States, Bri, as she was affectionately known, was ten years old when she started recording. But her passion for singing began, she said, when she was five and she barely knew all the words to the songs she sang.

Her biggest stage performance to date was at a People’s History concert through her school last year. This was certainly not her first live performance as she had been under the spotlight at school and church before. She said last year’s performance was huge, as it was the biggest stage she has performed on to date. He said that the audience at first seemed tense, but soaked it all because by the end of the song, they broke out in cheers and applause.
