The launch was attended by businessmen and businesswomen from across Regions Five and Six. In his speech, Mr Ramdihal expressed the desire to give back to his home county – Berbice. He sees this as not only an opportunity for people living in Berbice to enjoy the services the company has to offer but also as a way to create long-term job opportunities for those who wish to following accounting and auditing.
In sharing his experience, he approached the perspective of business men and business women in accounting. “They don’t see it as essential or important,” he said, adding that he could understand why, as “they see accounting as a service that does not create a product that brings in revenue but instead is seen as a function that will cost the company unnecessary sums of money. ”
But according to Ramdihal, “it not only costs the company but doing it right can lead to more sales, therefore, more revenue and more profit.”
Accounting even noted that some businesses consider only what is needed to satisfy the Guyana Revenue Authority. However, Ramdihal added, “if this is a business view of accounting, then they are missing out on increasing their profits because accounting gives businesses so much more information that would help maximize profits.”
