Two men, 60 and 56, are COVID’s latest deaths – News Room Guyana

The Ministry of Health (MOH) reported on Tuesday that two other people who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died, taking the total number of deaths from the pandemic since MArch 2020 to 273.

The most recent deaths are two men, a 60-year-old man from Region 6 (East Berbice-Corentyne) and a 56-year-old man from Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice). Both died on April 19, 2021 while being cared for in a medical facility.

These two most recent deaths mean that more people died in April than those who died in March 2021 of the virus.

In March 2021, a total of 36 patients died while in October 2020, 44 people died making it the most lethal month for COVID-19 to date.
